OnTheLevelProduction - May 15, 2010 - Screw People is here! In the first episode we are introduced to Clark, Paul, and Matt. They are regular doods just getting by with what they got. Will Clark find a love interest? Will Qualen get his rent money? Umm...maybe?

By Paul Laginess:

Screw People is the work of my 2 slacker sons, Paul and Clark, and their friend Matt. I've been hearing about this for going on six months now and was beginning to wonder if the finished product would ever see the light of day. At last, this 5 minute epic animated tale is on the youtubes and presented here. Yep, 5 minutes, 6 months. Like I said: slackers. But I gotta hand it to 'em. I was entertained. It's kind of a poor man's Seinfeld...pretty much not about anything in particular. More episodes are forthcoming and now that they've learned the basics of how to do it, hopefully they can crank these out a little more expeditiously. It's R-rated for some blue language with dumb stereotypes and extremely primitive animation, but it's mostly harmless fun and might even illicit a chuckle or three from thee. Comments welcome. Let 'em rip. They can take it and could surely use any feedback that might steer them towards better quality in future eps.

I guess you can't do nothing nowadays without having a token 'black guy' or 'gay guy' or whatever. But i think you should just do what you gotta do.

Hey Family Guy can't stay on top forever, so keep at it.

Good point about timing, family guy, the simpsons, south park.. if you watch the early ones it's much slower. As they get into it the frames cut quicker and the voiceovers also speed up. Its the low attention span thing. Comics & Cartoons always have that manic element to them.

I'd put a bit more diversity in the characters (you got 3 dark hair white dudes) so you can introduce a bit more conflict. Comedy timing seems a bit off at the beginning but improves (first episodes of Family Guy were a bit off too though!). Not exactly my sense of humour but on the whole I enjoyed it. Good animation, good sound, good job.
